The present invention relates to a device for killing harmful insects inhabiting in a wooden building and damaging a wooden material. More specifically, a microwave generator is used, and microwaves irradiated from the circumference of a pillar or a beam of a wooden building penetrate into a wooden material. Thus, even harmful insects inhabiting in the wooden material can be completely killed, so deterioration of a wooden building caused by harmful insects can be prevented. Moreover, the inside of a pillar or a beam of a wooden building is observed, and an inhabiting state of harmful insects can be diagnosed, so the device can be very effectively used in operating an insect killing operation.
