The present invention relates to a shaft for a badminton racket and a badminton racket including the same. The shaft for a badminton racket according to the present invention is formed such that at least the upper portion has a cross section in a general rectangular shape among the upper or lower portion of the shaft, and the central portion is cylindrical. Therefore, high torsional resistance which suppresses the torsional vibration of a head portion and the good elastic characteristic which gives the excellent feeling of stability in the hit are balanced without sacrificing the sufficient mechanical strength against the shock at the time of the high speed swing and the striking of the shuttlecock. The badminton racket which adopts the above-mentioned effect has a moderate flexibility with light weight, without sacrificing mechanical strength, with excellent controllability and fast swing characteristics, representing a good feeling of holding with the shuttlecock.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
