The present invention relates to an automatic management system and an automatic management method for an electrode plate for a lead storage battery, wherein various types of positive and negative electrode plates used in manufacturing the lead storage battery can be put into a real-time stock management so as to comply with an accurate quality time through an automatic logistics management system and an RFID electrode plate rack. According to the present invention, provided is a system, comprising the following processes: generating a job instruction and performance for producing an electrode plate according to a managers logistics processing command, figuring out and analyzing a status of an equipment operation according to a plan for electrode plate production management, and generating and transferring information on a general status of the electrode plate on a real time basis according to execution results; automatically classifying the electrode plate by using an RFID tag attached to an electrode plate rack according to the received electrode plate logistics control command, and receiving information on an overall status of the electrode plate so as to provide information on purchase of the electrode plate according to an unavailable electrode plate rack under ongoing construction, an available electrode plate rack after construction completed, a location of available and unavailable electrode plate racks and a type name of the electrode plate; and handling logistics for the electrode plate rack with the RFID attached thereto according to the electrode plate logistics control command.
