The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising an extract or a fraction of Tetragonia tetragonoides (Pall.) Kuntze for preventing or treating menopausal disorders; to a method comprising a step of administering the pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating menopausal disorders; and a food composition comprising the extract or fraction. The extract of Tetragonia tetragonoides (Pall.) Kuntze of the present invention shows the effects of alleviating obesity represented by glucose metabolism disorders and lipid metabolism disorders; osteoporosis represented by bone homeostasis disorders; and hot flashes represented by energy metabolism disorders, and thus may be used in food products, drugs, and the like for preventing, alleviating, or treating menopausal disorders.
