The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of an integrated metal-based component in a simple shape providing illusions of faceting and/or chamfering to form the whole or a part of the outside of a time piece. The method comprises the following steps: a) forming a base material including negative ribs (5) of at least one optical illusion pattern of at least one metal-based component; b) forming a mold (7) on the base material (1); c) filling at least one cavity (6) of the mold (7) through electroplating to form the at least one metal-based component with a flat surface, which includes the at least one optical illusion pattern hiding the flatness of the flat surface; and d) releasing the at least one metal-based component formed by the previous steps from the base material (1) and the mold (7).
