The present invention relates to an intelligent method and apparatus for automatically completing an appropriate word or sentence to be input next based on a word or a sentence input by a user. There is provided an intelligent method of automatically completing a sentence, comprising the steps of: displaying a word or sentence input through a word/sentence input unit on a display unit; extracting and analyzing, by a word/sentence extraction unit, the word or sentence input through the word/sentence input unit; generating, by a word/sentence generation unit, example words or sentences through an example word/sentence DB or a word/sentence server if a control unit determines that a set condition including selection through a menu bar and a lapse of time is satisfied when the word or sentence is input through the word/sentence input unit; displaying the generated sentences on the display unit; and displaying a word or sentence selected from the generated words or sentences following the previously input word or sentence.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
