The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating mental disorder comprising a Fomes formentarius extract and a Berchemia berchemiaefolia extract as active ingredients. According to the present invention, by comprising a Fomes formentarius extract and a Berchemia berchemiaefolia extract as active ingredients, the composition controls expression of inflammatory cytokine induced by hyperactivated hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis (HPA), down-regulates expression of NFκ-B in brain through anti-inflammatory control mechanism by the Fomes formentarius extract, thereby preventing or treating mental disorder, having few side effects to human bodies as a natural product and being manufactured and ingested in an easy manner.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
