The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for measuring a data processing speed of a network. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a speed measurement agent of an access point comprises: a session setting unit for setting a session with a first server; an address-assigning unit for assigning a destination address for a packet received through the set session; a packet transmitting unit for transmitting the packet to the assigned destination address when the packet is received from the first server through the set session; and a communications unit for receiving, from the first server, a result of data processing speed measurement between the first server and the second server having the assigned destination address and transmitting the received result to a terminal. The address-assigning unit can assign the destination address by using hardware network address translation (NAT).
