The present invention relates to a method for removing freshwater green algae by using kaolin. More specifically, kaolin having a particle size of 0.18 to 2 mm is sprayed onto the surface of freshwater in which green algae occurred, and the kaolin sprayed on the surface of the freshwater is adsorbed to and sunk with the green algae included in the freshwater, so the green algae are removed. An excellent green algae control effect is ensured through adsorption and sinking, and the content of aluminum (Al) for forming a strong bond with phosphate (PO_4^(3-)) which is a nutrient salt essentially needed for growing green algae is high, so reactivation of planktons floating at an aqueous top layer can be effectively prevented.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
