The present invention relates to a drive apparatus of an active air flap, an active air flap including the same, and an operating method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the drive apparatus of an active air flap comprises: a radiator (100) which allows a coolant heated by an engine to flow thereinto, and cools the coolant flowing thereinto; a reservoir tank (200) to store the coolant leaked from the radiator (100) as the coolant in the radiator (100) is expanded by the coolant heated by the engine; a drain pipe (300) communicating with the radiator (100) and the reservoir tank (200) to transfer the coolant leaked from the radiator (100) to the reservoir tank (200); and a booster (400) to use the coolant leaked from the reservoir tank (200) communicating with the radiator (100) as the coolant in the radiator (100) is expanded to open or close an active air flap. According to the present invention, since the flap is physically opened or closed in accordance with a temperature of the coolant without control of an ECU, the flap can be properly opened or closed in accordance with a need even if a temperature in an engine room rises. Also, since a pressure of the coolant of the radiator is used to open and close the flap, an actuator is omitted to reduce costs of a vehicle.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
