The present invention relates to an emergency communication system using a smart device based on a satellite network and an emergency communication method using the same. More specifically, the emergency communication system and the emergency communication method are designed to enable a smooth communication service through organic driving of portable satellite communication equipment, an antenna for wireless data communication connected to the communication equipment, a smart device, and an application driving the same when the terrestrial communication network and wired and wireless communication network are not available due to emergency situations such as accidents, disasters, and wars. The emergency communication system using a smart device based on a satellite network according to the present invention comprises: the smart device owned by a user facing the emergency situation; a satellite for satellite communication; a mobile communication area comprising a mobile communication base station, a mobile communication repeater, and a mobile communication exchanger; a private mobile communication area comprising a Wi-Fi antenna, a femtocell antenna, a signal amplifying/repeater, and a first power module; a satellite communication area comprising a VSAT, a set-top box, a satellite antenna, and a second power module; a power supply unit comprising a portable power generator, a photovoltaic panel, and a large-capacity battery; and a central management system which is a satellite station positioned on the ground.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
