Provided is a method of controlling a position of an underwater robot operated underwater. The method of controlling the position of the underwater robot comprises: a step of setting a starting point and a target destination point of an underwater robot; a step of acquiring an image of a target object with ultrasonic waves at the starting point; a step of predicting an image of the target destination point with the image at the starting point; a step of calculating a position error of a current destination point and the target destination point after moving the underwater robot; and a step of moving the underwater robot with the calculated difference of position error. According to the present invention, provided are the method and an apparatus to control the position of the underwater robot, and an underwater robot having the same capable of accurately moving an object to a position underwater.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
