Disclosed are a system and method for finding a lost smart phone using a communication network and a GPS. The method for searching for a lost smart phone using a communication network and a GPS according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: checking whether a distance exceeds a predefined threshold distance value after calculating the distance between a main device and another device if the location information of a user is received from the main device; and transmitting a notice about a location where the device is lost to a device user and transmitting past location information to the main device.
