The present invention relates to a system for providing a smartphone video by using an IP camera. The system comprises: a modem device comprising one among a mobile communications modem, a wireless LAN modem, and a wireless mobile internet modem; the IP camera comprising a multi-modem driver for driving the modem device, connected to the serial interface, by supporting a video capturing device for capturing a video of a surrounding area, a video processing unit for processing the video, captured by the video capturing device, a touch screen for inputting a control signal and controlling operation, and a serial interface terminal for connecting the modem device; and a smartphone which is connected to the IP camera through the modem device and displays the video captured by the IP camera. According to the present invention, as video information, generated by the IP camera having the wireless modem using various types of 3G, 4G, and Wi-Fi, is provided to the smartphone, the system for providing a smartphone video by using an IP camera has excellent compatibility and maximizes utilization efficiency of the limited resources of the smartphone by methods of frame speed variation, double buffering, and so on.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
