The present invention relates to a system and a method for supporting medical academic research, which collect, classify, and make into a database various kinds of medical information such as patient status information, patient medical records, academic research data, etc. of each medical institution, and provide a medical guide program for easy integrated search of the same, thereby supporting academic research of doctors and researchers. On a dashboard screen of the medical guide program, a search condition with respect to sickness code based patient data set including medical terminologies or a name of a disease and the patient medical records are input as a search word. A main keyword is selected through a related keyword analysis from the search word, and the various kinds of medical information which are needed for the academic research can be provided through integrated search based on the selected main keyword.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
