Provided is a method for transmitting and receiving a protocol packet in a distributed packet transmission network using a Linux-based packet processor. The method for transmitting and receiving a protocol packet in a distributed packet transmission network using a Linux-based packet processor according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: connecting a kernel to a client application through a socket interface part; receiving a first protocol packet from a network; classifying the received first protocol packet in accordance with a purpose of processing the first protocol packet by checking only a part of the first protocol packet; branching the first protocol packet depending on the classification result without directly processing the first protocol packet; and transmitting the branched first protocol packet to a main processor card or another line card.
