A DC-DC converter includes a first switching element, a second switching element, a mode selection circuit, and a controller. The second switching element is connected to the first switching element. The mode selection circuit selects either a first mode or a second mode as a converting mode based on an input voltage. The controller generates a first switching control signal for controlling the first switching element based on the converting mode and a second switching control signal for controlling the second switching element based on the converting mode. The output voltage can be generated stably by changing the converting mode according to the input voltage.
