The present invention relates to a waist band length adjusting device for a garment worn on a lower body. The waist end length adjusting device is used to easily change the length of the waist band of pants or skirts in accordance with a change in the body shape causing a change in the waist length. According to the present invention, the waist band of the garment worn on the lower body is separated into a front waist band part and a rear waist band part from both of the left and right sides while making the front waist band part to overlap the ends of the rear waist band part. A guide rail is installed on the rear waist band part with rack units. A movement member is installed on the front waist band part to connect the front and rear waist band parts while moving along the guide rail. A latch unit is installed on the movement member while being elastically supported on an elastic member to be caught by the rack units. The elastic member has the center part wound in a coil shape to be coupled to a hinge shaft. An end extended from the middle part is curved to correspond to the shape of a pressing unit, thereby supporting the lower surface of the pressing unit. The other end extended from the middle part is extended in the direction of the pressing unit to be fixed by a fixing piece curved toward an opening unit from the upper surface of the movement member.
