The present invention relates to a biomolecular marker dye and, more specifically, to a novel cyanine-based compound which shows fluorescence signals at a wavelength band of visible ray and near-infrared ray region of 450 nm or more and can be used for detecting biomolecules. The cyanine-based compound is represented by chemical formula 1.
