A method and apparatus for cooperative session control between WTRUs and user equipment (UE) movement (IUT) of session information is disclosed. A cooperative session control move request including ongoing session information is transmitted prior to the movement of session control from one WTRU to another WTRU. The ongoing session information may include information about the media flows and devices involved in the session. A media control move response is sent in response to the control move request.;
