The present invention relates to an optimal control method based on a multi-mode command of a motion and voice, and more particularly, to a control method which processes a trigger, in which a user specifies an electronic device to be converted into a voice recognizing mode, as motion recognition, and transmits a voice command for the specified electronic device, and to an electronic device applied therewith. According to the optimal control method and the electronic device using the same of an embodiment of the present invention, the voice command can be more quickly and effectively transmitted to the electronic device regardless of surrounding circumstances. Also, a user can effectively perform the voice command even without previously learning or memorizing a name or the like of the electronic device which is an object for voice recognition by specifying the electronic device through motion recognition, and transmitting the voice command. In addition, a motion which is a pre-step for transmitting the voice command to the electronic device is allowed to be more precisely recognized, thereby improving a recognition rate and preventing a malfunction. The electronic device of the present invention comprises: a motion recognizing unit for recognizing motion information; a voice recognizing unit for recognizing a voice command; a coordinate detecting unit; a vector detecting unit; and a control unit for generating a voice trigger.
