The present invention relates to a steel box girder for a composite steel bridge with a strut, and a manufacturing method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the steel box girder for the composite steel bridge with the strut is installed to resist a load of the composite steel bridge, comprising: a girder body which is in a shape of a square box made from steel to be supported by the bridge and which has a girder space inside; a tension fixing unit placed in the girder body and which is fixated on the girder body to be supported in a position where compression stress works when the composite steel bridge is installed in the girder body to generate a tensile force; a compressor unit supported by the tension fixing unit which keeps a status of providing a compressive force while being supported by the tension fixing unit; and a strut placed to be supported together with the compressor unit by the tension fixing unit, and installed to allow the tensile force which offsets the compressive stress by reaction due to the work of the compressive force provided by the compressor unit. The present invention also provides a method to manufacture such a steel box girder. The present invention aims to provide a steel box girder for a composite steel bridge with a strut and a manufacturing method thereof, which offset compressive force to maximize moment effects and which increase a cross-sectional strength of the bridge to resist sagging and vibration.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
