A method and a system for determining a complex situation according to a time flow of occurrence events according to equipment are provided. The complex situation determination method according to an embodiment of the present invention detects events occurring in equipment and determines the current situation by referring to a complex situation judgment rule. The multiple situation judgment rule is a rule that maps the current situation according to time intervals between events and events occurring in the equipments. Accordingly, it is possible to more reliably judge the current situation by taking into account the time intervals in addition to the events occurring in the equipments.
