The present invention relates to an apparatus for supporting a financial service, which is capable of performing error recovery when an incomplete transaction of the financial service occurs, analyzing log data to estimate a financial service required for a customer, and providing the estimated financial service to the customer, and a method thereof. The method for supporting the financial service comprises the steps of: receiving log data including customer data and financial service data about the incomplete transaction of the financial service; analyzing the log data to classify detail information of the customer, information of a location in which the financial service is requested, and characteristics of a time zone of the log data and analyzing the cause of the incomplete transaction; and providing a separate financial service menu according to a result of the cause analysis about the incomplete transaction.
