According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method to optimize a hybrid renewable energy system, including a hydrogen storage system and a battery as an energy storage method, includes: a step of calculating a minimum external power supply amount and available surplus power for the next day from systems except the hydrogen storage system through pinch analysis based on daily power production and consumption; a step of converting the minimum external power supply amount and available surplus power for the next day into monthly values and then calculating power, required from the hydrogen storage system, and power stored in the hydrogen storage system in each monthly time section; a step of calculating pure storable/necessary power of the hydrogen storage system in each time section; a step of calculating a required external power supply amount and a power capacity, accumulated in the hydrogen storage system in each time section for the first year of operation; a step of calculating minimum required power for the first year of operation and available surplus power for the next year, stored in the hydrogen storage system; a step of calculating a required external power supply amount and a power capacity, accumulated in the hydrogen storage system in each time section for a general year of operation; and a step of determining an optimal capacity of the hydrogen storage system based on the accumulated power capacity of the hydrogen storage system, calculated for the general year of operation.
