The present invention relates to a head-mounted display device which displays Virtual Reality (VR) video, provided from the outside, at a level of high-quality FHD video, and which has a slim shape having a thin thickness in frontward and backward directions. More specifically, the present invention relates to a head-mounted display device in which an independent dual-panel is employed as a display panel so that a VR movie can be displayed at a level of a high-quality FHD video in accordance with a characteristic of the VR movie having a side extending in a longitudinal direction, thereby enabling a head-mounted display device to have a thin thickness in frontward and backward directions. For this purpose, an FPGA for dual-FHD configured to perform formatting on video data of a VR video provided from the outside extracts TTL signals from a received LVDS signal, rearranges the TTL signals, performs formatting so that the TTL signals are converted into Mini-LVDS signals, and provides the Mini-LVDS signals to an independent dual-panel. According to the present invention, provided is a solution, such as the FPGA, which enables a VR video to be displayed on the independent dual panel at a level of high-quality FHD video, thereby providing an advantage in which a VR movie can be displayed at a level of high-quality FHD video.
