The circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler of the present invention comprises a reaction chamber, wherein a bubble fluidized bed (BFB) is included in the enclosure in the lower portion of the reaction chamber, the BFB comprising an in-bed heat exchanger (IBHX) do. A plurality of in-layer auxiliary air nozzles have a plurality of tubes, which group together and extend beyond the width of the BFB between the BFB enclosure and the outer wall of the CFB. The deflection of solids falling from CFB to BFB can be prevented by the auxiliary air nozzle and a complicated structure that can cause movement and interference of gas or solids in the furnace can be avoided. The outlet of the nozzle is in the same plane as the BFB enclosure wall, or in almost the same plane.
