Improved Process Development by Parallel Operation of Paraffin Isomerization Unit with Reformer

The process for refining naphtha results in an improved octane number in the subsequent gasoline mixture. Some embodiments include separating the naphthafide into light naphtha and heavy naphtha; Separating said heavy naphtha into a paraffin stream and a non-paraffin stream; Introducing the light naphtha into a first isomerization unit and introducing the paraffin stream into a second isomerization unit; Introducing the heavy non-paraffin stream into the reforming unit, and combining the final effluent to form a gasoline mixture. The final gasoline mixture has improved properties over a gasoline mixture made without the step of introducing the paraffin stream into the second isomerization unit.
