The present invention relates to a mobile mapping system for constructing three-dimensional (3D) spatial information of an underground object, capable of ensuring safety of a worker, and a method of constructing a 3D spatial information of an underground object using the same. In particular, a mobile mapping system integrating 3D topographic data and underground survey data comprises: a base plate mounted and fixed on the upper side of a moving object; an image sensor acquiring image data while viewing all directions with respect to the moving object; a laser scanner installed on one side of the upper surface of the base plate to acquire laser scan data according to movement of the moving object; a positioning sensor installed on the one side of the upper surface of the base plate to calculate a location; an inertial navigation device installed on the one side of the upper side of the base plate to measure an angular acceleration and an acceleration of the moving object, and to perform continuous integration with respect to time, so as to calculate the current location, velocity, and advancing direction; an underground survey sensor installed on one side of the moving object to detect an underground buried object to generate underground survey data; and a spatial information data generation unit generating 3D ground and underground spatial information data based on the image data measured by the image sensor, the laser scan data acquired by the laser scanner, the location information measured by the positioning sensor, the information acquired by the inertial navigation device, and the underground survey data generated by the underground survey sensor.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
