The present invention relates to a system for sensing a fever patient in a public place using a multi-zone camera and statistical sampling, which can photograph people in the public place where a large number of people gather, and can sense a fever patient among the photographed people to issue a warning. The system of the present invention comprises: a camera unit for photographing a small area of a public place, and transmitting a visible light image and an infrared image of the photographed image; and a management server including a transceiving module, an individual subject heating processing unit, a subject specifying unit, a distance angle estimating unit, a perturbation factor compensating unit, an individual subject statistic processing unit, an entire subject statistic processing unit, a warning unit, a display unit, and a main control unit. Accordingly, a method for sensing a fever patient of the present invention has an effect of sensing a fever patient in a place where the public gather.
