Provided are damage detection equipment of an external tendon for a bridge by combining an audible sound inspection device with a magnetic flux leakage inspection device, and a method thereof, wherein an audible sound inspection device detecting an opening position of an external tendon in accordance with a shock unit, a shock sound wave, or a shock elastic wave applying a shock to a surface of the external tendon and a magnetic flux leakage inspection device detecting a damage degree of the external tendon are integrated to be one damage detection equipment of an external tendon for a bridge. Therefore, efficiency of the damage detection equipment of an external tendon can be improved. Moreover, after removing the audible sound inspection device for detecting an opening in an external tendon, a detachable step of installing the magnetic flux leakage inspection device for detecting a damage degree of the external tendon can be omitted to reduce time required for detecting damage to the external tendon.
