The present invention relates to an antibacterial cosmetic material composition, a food composition, and pharmacological composition which comprise 16-hydroxy-17-isovaleroyloxy-ent-kauran-19-oic acid as an active ingredient. The antibacterial composition comprising 16-hydroxy-17-isovaleroyloxy-ent-kauran-19-oic acid as an active ingredient of the present invention has excellent activity for inhibiting growth of inflammatory dermatophyte and thus can be advantageously used for a cosmetic, food, a medicine and the like for preventing, alleviating, or treating disease caused by microbial infection.
