A footprint searching method according to an aspect of the present invention includes: a footprint image generating step of generating at least one footprint image from an input image; a feature information acquiring step of acquiring one or more feature information corresponding to a unit pattern of one or more partial footprint images; a search step of searching a search result record corresponding to at least one or more items and the one or more feature information by searching for the one or more feature information in a database; and a search result providing step of supplying the search result record to a user. Accordingly, the present invention can search for shoes including a feature which is identical to a corresponding footprint in the database.
