The present invention relates to a support structure for a pillar with excellent appearance and structural safety. The support structure for a pillar comprises: a ring-shaped base plate connected and fixated to a lower part of a pillar having a plurality of through holes formed inside such that a fixing bolt protruding upwards by being fixated to the ground penetrates the through holes; closing pillar closing a side of the base plate by being piled and fixated to an upper part of the base plate, wherein the closing pillar has a shape of a cylinder penetrated; a plurality of first lugs located at constant intervals in the closing pillar supporting a lower part of the pillar by being supported by the base plate and the closing pillar; a first cover closing an upper part of the closing pillar by being piled on the upper part of the closing pillar; and a detaching unit inducing easy detachment of the first cover. As the first lug supporting the pillar is closed against the outside using the closing pillar and the first cover, the support structure for the pillar is able to induce excellent appearance and is able to protect an appearance of a street by preventing a problem of damaging the appearance of the street as waste or foreign substances thrown away collected inside by a structure in which the inside of the base plate is closed.
