More particularly, the present invention relates to a composition for prevention and treatment of kidney cancer comprising an extract of caspase-3 as an active ingredient and a caspase-ethanol extract comprising a food-acceptable food-aid additive As an active ingredient, to a functional food for the prevention of kidney cancer. The composition for treating kidney cancer and the functional food according to the present invention are effective for inhibiting growth of kidney cancer cells and inducing apoptosis, and thus can be effectively used for the treatment and prevention of kidney cancer.
