A device for dense filling of the catalyst, adapted for a steam-conversion conversion heat exchanger reactor consisting of a plurality of bayonet tubes enclosed in a calender, wherein the catalyst consists of solid particles occupying at least a part of the annular space (4) located between the inner pipe (5) and the outer pipe (6), and the combination of these two pipes forms a bayonet pipe, while the width of the specified annular space is in the range from 30 to 80 mm, and its height is in the range from 10 to 20 m, while the catalyst particles are in the form of cylinders with a height of approximately in the range of 10 mm to 20 mm and a diameter of approximately in the range of 10 to 20 mm, the device consisting of: a system of retarding elements (7) annular shape, while the inner diameter of the ring is exactly equal to the diameter of the inner pipe (5), and its outer diameter is exactly equal to the inner diameter of the outer pipe (6), and these slowing down elements (7) are uniformly vertically distributed along the annular space (4), each of takes them in e section of the annular zone (4), and they are separated by a vertical distance in the range from 50 to 150 cm, with each retarding element consisting of a solid annular structure called the "central", the diameter of which is equal to the diameter of the inner pipe (5), on which there are many flexible radial rods, and occupies the entire cross section of the annular zone (4), while these slowing down elements (7) are interconnected by at least one chain (8), which is wound around a drum (10) located outside filled pipe, and at the same time catalyst particles are located in: a central hopper (1),
