A brake pedal assembly, comprising: a brake pedal lever having an initial position; an adjustment subassembly configured to adjust the initial position; a preload spring configured to provide a preload force to the brake pedal lever; and an adjusting cam of the preload in cooperation with the lever of the brake pedal, wherein the adjusting subassembly and the preload spring are configured to change the preload force in response to a change in the initial position. 2. The brake pedal assembly according to claim 1, wherein the brake pedal lever comprises a locating pin extending from it, and the preload adjusting cam forms a locating slot adapted to receive the locating pin. 3. The brake pedal assembly according to claim 2, wherein the adjusting subassembly comprises a pivoting member extending from it, the preload adjusting cam forms a pivoting hole for receiving the pivoting member, and the interaction of the locating pin with the locating slot pivots the preloading adjusting cam around the pivoting member. The brake pedal assembly of claim 3, wherein the preload adjusting cam forms a cam surface in sliding interaction with the end portion of the preload spring, and the rotation of the preload adjusting cam moves the end portion of the preload spring to change the preload spring
