FIELD: technological processes.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to recovery of worn-out side surfaces of splines. Performed are heating and distributing side surfaces of splines by an electrode-tool for electromechanical processing moving along the spline through its surface. Deformation of metal to the side of wear-out of the splines side surfaces is limited by a calibrated plate made able to change its dimensions as to the width of the spline slot.EFFECT: as the result provided are simultaneous recovery and strengthening of side surfaces of splines.1 cl, 1 dwg
