FIELD: measuring equipment.SUBSTANCE: method for detecting the formation of salt sediments, contaminated with radionuclides of natural origin, on the inner pump-compressor pipe column surfaces of the oil-gas offshore platforms, includes the stages, at which measuring the background gamma-radiation pulse number by the radiometer in the selected energy interval in the selected area of the pump-compressor pipe column at the initial stage of its operation at the fixed time and measuring the gamma-radiation pulse number from the formed salt sediments in the selected energy interval at the same selected area of the pump-compressor pipe column during its operation at the same fixed time are performed, and calculation operations are performed to determine the threshold of the pulse number from the background gamma-radiation for the given level of false alarms, and then operations are performed comparing the obtained threshold values of the background gamma-radiation pulse number with the measured values of the gamma-radiation pulse number from the formed salt sediment during the operation of the pump-compressor pipe column, then according to the comparison results, in case of exceeding the gamma-radiation pulse number by the measured values from the formed salt sediment of the background gamma-radiation pulse number threshold, the initial stage of the salt sediment formation is fixed on the inner surface of the pump-compressor pipe column.EFFECT: timely detecting the initial formation stage of the radioactive salt sediments on the inner pump-compressor pipe column surface without sampling and without stopping the oil production process.4 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
