FIELD: metallurgy.SUBSTANCE: method involves introducing a master alloy into an aluminium-based matrix melt while simultaneously exposing the melt to ultrasonic field. The master alloy is prepared in the form of compacted rods from a uniformly mixed mixture consisting of 90% by weight of aluminium powder of micron size and 10% by weight of diamond nanopowder with 4÷6 nm particle diameter, the resulting rods are introduced into the melt of the aluminium-based matrix to ensure the content of the diamond nanopowder in the resulting nanocomposite material of 0.1÷0.5% by weight and are kept in it for at least 10 minutes while simultaneously exposing the melt to ultrasonic field with 20÷22 W/cm.EFFECT: increase the strength, hardness and plasticity of nanocomposite material.1 ex
