The invention relates to mechanical tests intended to determine the mechanical properties of metals and their alloys, reinforced with surface plastic deformation techniques. Sample corresponds in shape and size proportional to the standard sample plane to mechanical tensile tests of thin plates and strips, comprising a head and a working part. The front and end surface of the working part of the surface layer is applied cold-worked. Technical result: the ability to determine the strength of cold-hardened surface layer on the results of standard mechanical tests on axial stretching. 3 yl.
