METHOD OF EXPLORATION OF POTASSIUM-MAGNESIUM SALTS DEPOSITS AT LARGE DEPTHS

FIELD: geology.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geology and can be used for exploration of potassium-magnesium salts deposits at large depths. Core: geological survey wells are drilled. Core chemical research is performed for determining lithologic-petrographic features of rocks and content of useful components in them. Geophysical survey of rocks are performed and positions are determined of the lower and the upper boundaries of the payout bed. From geological survey wells reference geological survey wells are selected. From the reference geological survey wells drilled with extracting cores are side shafts crossing the upper and the lower boundaries of the payout bed. Core chemical analysis is carried out obtained during drilling the side shafts for determining lithologic-petrographic features of the rocks defining layers of the payout bed and content of potassium-magnesium salts in them. Results of the chemical analysis of the core material obtained during drilling the side shafts are compared with the results of geophysical survey of the reference geological survey wells for respective layers of the payout bed. This mapping results are used to build geological incisions of the payout bed and to determine the content of potassium-magnesium salts in the layers defining the payout bed in location places of the geological survey wells. Herewith minimum allowable distance between a side shaft and a reference geological survey well for sections of the side shaft and the reference geological survey well located within the payout bed are determined taking into account the depth of destruction of the rock mass formed in the vicinity of the reference geological survey well under action of the rock pressure and the depth of destruction of the rock mass formed in the vicinity of the side shaft under action of the rock pressure.;EFFECT: technical result is reduction of volumes and duration of exploration, higher reliability of the obtained information.;1 cl, 1 dwg
