FIELD: manufacturing technology.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to insulating composite material for power transmission and distribution systems. Insulating composite material contains a continuous reinforcing fibre, embedded in a thermoset resin. Thermoset resin is a product of reaction of a curable composition based on epoxy resin containing (a) at least one epoxy resin based on bisphenol A, (b) at least one epoxy resin containing oxazolidone ring, and (c) at least one anhydride hardener. Curable composition based on epoxy resin is characterised by viscosity 6,000 MPa⋅s or less at 25 °C. Also disclosed is a technological process of making insulation composite material.;EFFECT: invention ensures production of insulating composite material with good balance of properties, specifically bending strength in hot state, breakdown voltage at direct current at least 50 kV, ability to withstand penetration dye test for not less than 15 minutes.;15 cl, 2 tbl, 5 ex
