FIELD: petroleum industry.;SUBSTANCE: at least two pressure gauges (manometers) with the certain distance between them in the vertical direction should be located in stationary manner in the well equipped with a subsurface electrical centrifugal pump (ECP) and a frequency converter of power supply current of a submerged electrical motor within an interval from the downhole (oil reservoir are) the subsurface pump. The gauges with a set frequency transmit data on pressure to a controller of a control center of the well operation located on the surface. Whereupon, such operation mod of ECP is selected that provides the higher pressure in the area of measuring gauges (manometers) than the gas saturation pressure. Watering of well products is determined according to a mathematical formulation, in which the oil and water densities are given as known values at the pressure equal to the average value of pressures according to two closest gauges.;EFFECT: data on the density of formation fluids is obtained according to the preliminary research of subsurface samples of oil and water of oil-producing wells.;1 dwg, 2 tbl
