FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: system to obtain characteristics of the patient's upper airways anatomical parameter by analyzing the spectral properties of an utterance, comprises a mechanical connector including means for patient's jaws position restriction, means for utterance recording, and processing means for determination of the anatomical parameter of the upper airways based on the recorded utterance and recorded utterance comparing to the threshold value. The system is used as a diagnostic tool for obstructive sleep apnea assessment. At that, patient's jaws position is restricted, an utterance is recorded, the recorded utterance is compared with the threshold value and the said anatomical upper airways parameter is determined by the recorded utterance and recorded speech fragment comparing to the threshold value.;EFFECT: improved accuracy of upper airways anatomical parameters measurement due to jaws fixation in position and reduced variability of spoken sounds.;16 cl, 4 dwg
