FIELD: electricity.;SUBSTANCE: single-phase short-circuit feed current is compensated by a controlled transformer-type shunt reactor (CTSR) connected to the power transmission line by primary windings connected in star with solid grounded neutral. The pause of single-phase autoreclosing of the power transmission line is detected and the CTSR control signal is transferred from the reactive power compensation mode to the short-circuit arc feed current compensation mode. In said mode, the free terminals of the star-connected CTSR secondary windings are closed by effecting on its two-way thyristor valves. If there are additional secondary windings connected in CTSR, the damaged phase of the power transmission line is determined and by effecting on the respective bi-directional thyristor valves shunt the windings of said triangle magnetically coupled with primary windings of non-damaged phases of the line. The effect on the thyristor valve starts at maximum voltage thereat.;EFFECT: additional power equipment and insulation reinforcement of the shunt reactor primary windings connected in star are not required, since the solid ground of their neutral is maintained.;3 cl, 1 dwg
