METHOD FOR ASSESSMENT OF CHRONIC GENERALIZED PERIODONTITIS TREATMENT EFFECTIVENESS

FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the study of the physical and chemical properties of a biological fluid, and can be used in therapeutic dentistry to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment of chronic generalized periodontitis (CHG) in patients with metabolic syndrome (MS). The method includes a biochemical analysis of oral fluid before and after treatment in patients with diagnosed chronic generalized periodontitis and diagnosed metabolic syndrome, using a spectrophotometric assay, the lipid profile of the oral fluid is determined, namely the concentration of triglycerides (TG), total cholesterol (TC), low density lipoprotein (LDL) and high-density lipoprotein (HDL). When TG concentration changes from 0.04±0.01 mmol/l to 0.01±0.001 mmol/l, TC changes from 0.08±0.02 mmol/l to 0.04±0.02 mmol/l, LDL changes from 0.04±0.001 mmol/l to 0.01±0.001 mmol/l, HDL changes from 0.08±0.01 mmol/l to 0.12±0.01 mmol/l, treatment is evaluated as effective. Significant changes in the lipid profile in the oral fluid of patients with generalized periodontitis (P0.01) suggest that for the evaluation of the HCV treatment effectiveness, saliva study is indicative and can be recommended for use under the conditions of periodontics department.;EFFECT: improved assessment accuracy.;2 ex
