FIELD: engines and pumps.;SUBSTANCE: residual life tester (RLT) is designed for non-detachable technical diagnosis of crank mechanism (CM) of automobile straight, V-type or opposed gasoline or diesel internal combustion engine with 2…12 cylinders with working volume of 0.903…22.3 l and equipped with a system of continuous or intermittent oil feed to crankshaft rod bearings. The RLT includes microprocessor means having software, by means of which an automated processing of information on maximum, reduced, test and current oil pressure and temperature, rotation frequency, working volume and number of capital repairs (CR) of the internal combustion engine, automatic detection and graphical presentation of gap dimensions of main and rod bearings, actual wear values and predicted residual life of the crank mechanism to CR in thousands of kilometres and percentage, evaluation of last CR quality.;EFFECT: in comparison with its analogues the residual life tester expands the area of diagnosed internal combustion engines and information on technical state of crank mechanism, increases speed and reliability of diagnosis.;2 cl, 1 tbl, 21 dwg
