FIELD: veterinary medicine.;SUBSTANCE: method involves obtaining from an animal blood serum, intravenous or intraperitoneal injection of a diagnostic medication in the form of an extract from the mucous membrane of the duodenum of a six-month-old pig at a dose of 0.33-4.5 ml, depending on the weight of the animal, previously diluted in physiological solution in the ratio 1:5, resuspension of blood serum 20 minutes after the injection of a medication. Subsequent conducting of a comparative study of both selected serum samples in accordance with the method of K. James in Veremeenko modification allows to diagnose chronic pancreatitis in case of a decrease in the level of protease inhibitors in blood after the injection of a medication by more than 1 mg/ml of alpha-1 antitrypsin that is shown by the appearance of lysis zones on the X-ray film at lower trypsin concentrations than before the injection of a medication.;EFFECT: speed, simplicity and cheapness of the diagnostics.;1 tbl
