Granules, and, to at least 95 w -% of potassium chloride, at least a hydrate of magnesium sulfate and water-insoluble magnesium oxide, as well as optionally one or more salts selected from sodium chloride, sodium sulfate and magnesium carbonate, wherein the proportion of potassium, calculated as k₂O, in the range from 35 to 50 w -%, the proportion of water-soluble magnesium, calculated as mgo (soluble in water), in the range from 2 to 10 w -% and the proportion of water-insoluble magnesium oxide, calculated as mgo (insoluble in water), in the range of from 0,1 to 11 w -%, based in each case on the granular material, is obtainable by coalescence agglomeration of a salt mixture, the at least 95 w -% of potassium chloride, hydrates of magnesium sulfate and water-insoluble magnesium oxide, as well as optionally one or more salts selected from sodium chloride, sodium sulfate and magnesium carbonate, wherein the proportion of potassium, calculated as k₂O, in the range from 35 to 50 w -% and the proportion of water-soluble magnesium, calculated as mgo (soluble in water), in the range from 2 to 10 w -%, based in each case on the salt mixture, is, wherein the water-insoluble magnesium oxide in an amount of from 0,1 to 11 w -%, based on the salt mixture is used.
